By rescuing fruit that would otherwise go to waste Pressed for Good reduces food waste, transforms donations into drinks and jams which are then sold with profits donated back to local good causes and charities ensuring the whole community benefits.

Rescue Fruit To Refresh Communities
Presed for Good was created to solve a problem – namely, how to do something good with the food that goes to waste?
Founders Rachel and Tracy Mosedale ran out of ideas of what to do with their apples from their two trees (Rosie & Jim), plus two pear and plum trees. Fed up with hauling a green bin full of fruit out on bin day, an idea was hatched to create something good.
That something good was Pressed for Good.

We take fruit that has fallen or is unwanted back to our cidery.
12 Stage Process
Inspect, wash, chop, scatter press, hydraulic press, filter, test, ferment, filter, rest, filter, bottle!
Bottle & Enjoy!
Twelve weeks or so from harvesting our fruit we bottle the cider and enjoy, selling to raise funds for local projects.
Turning Unwanted Fruit Into Community Cash
To do lots of good, we’ll need a lot of fruit! So we’d love to hear from anyone who has fruit to share.
Perhaps you have one apple tree in your garden, maybe you have a whole orchard, or you’re a commercial company with fruit to share, like our friends at Tesco in Atherstone did recently.
Please join our Press Gang, collect your fruit and bring it to us, or if you have a lot of fruit, if we may be able to get help from our volunteer Press Gang once we get going. We will also hope to have collection points set up soon, starting with St Peter’s Church in Witherley where you can drop off fruit from August through to October.
